Brazil won 4 to 1 against Germany and go for the gold medal.
On this Monday, the Brazilian soccer team won the game against Germany by 4 to 1 in Shanghai, and it has already secured at least one medal in the Olympic Games of 2008. On Thursday, Brazil will face the last opponent to go back home with the gold medal, which escaped four years ago in the decision against the United States.
Brazil has never beat up Germany in a official tournament. Last year, Brazil lost in the decision of the World Cup after Marta missed a penalty kick. But the Brazilian girls washed the soul in Shanghai. Formiga, Marta and Cristiane (twice) scored, after being losing by 1 to 0 in the beginning of the game, Prinz scored to Germany.
Cristiane had the best performance. She assist to Formiga score, scored another two herself and left the field celebrated. When she scored the second goal, she danced a little bit. Now, she is the one that has scored more in the history of the Olympics, along with Prinz, with ten. The crowd screamed “olé”, also delighted with the amazing goal of Marta.
On the German side, disappointment. the goalkeeper Nadine Angerer , which never had been beaten by Brazil, caught four balls in the network. Prinz, ex-best in the world, saw that the reign of Martha will be for much longer.
The final will be on Thurday at 10 am (Brasilia) against United States at Workers Stadium in Beijin.
